Who is responsible

Matchrove is made by Orkun Soylu under the Yontu Studios creator and publishing label. Orkun is responsible for the personal information used to operate Matchrove. Yontu Studios is not a separate legal person.

Information used by Matchrove

  • Account and device access: an account ID, installation ID, and access credentials. These let your device use your guest account securely.
  • Profile: your handle, display name, and any country, favourite club, avatar, or player tile choices that you provide.
  • Games: moves, game state, opponents, invitations, results, and ratings. These support online play and rankings.
  • Linked sign-in: if you choose Apple or Google, the provider's account identifier and information needed to verify sign-in and recover your Matchrove account. A provider may also supply a name suggestion. Apple credentials used for account deletion are stored in encrypted form.
  • Purchases: a private purchase customer ID and Premium status, with purchase information handled through Apple and RevenueCat. Matchrove does not receive your payment card details.
  • Notifications: if you allow them, device push tokens and information needed for game invitations or Live Activities.
  • Network and technical information: connection information, including IP addresses, and technical error information used to operate and protect the service. A country suggestion may use the country associated with your connection.
  • Support: information you send by email, such as your handle, device details, or screenshots.

How information is used

Information is used to run games, maintain accounts, show results and rankings, restore account access and purchases, send requested notifications, answer support questions, and prevent misuse. Where consent is required for advertising or device tracking, the app asks for that consent.

Your handle, display name, avatar, player tile, rating, and selected country or club can appear to other players in profiles, games, and rankings. Do not put private information in public profile fields.

Ads and privacy choices

The free version uses Google Mobile Ads. Google's SDK can process IP addresses, device identifiers, ad interactions, and diagnostic information. The information used depends on your device settings and privacy choices. Premium removes ads.

Matchrove uses Google's consent tools and Apple's tracking permission. Ad privacy controls, when required, are under Profile → Settings and help → Ad privacy choices. You can change tracking permission in iPhone Settings.

See Google's privacy policy and Google Mobile Ads data information.

Optional usage analytics

Share usage data is off by default. If you turn it on during onboarding or in Profile → Settings and help, Matchrove sends activity events to PostHog. These include app opens, onboarding steps, game results, ability use, invitations, purchase and restore outcomes, and ad impressions and revenue. Events also include app and device details, the app language, and Premium status.

Events use a coded account identifier. Matchrove does not send your handle, display name, profile photo, or typed player answers to PostHog. Automatic screen capture, session recording, and error capture are off. PostHog location lookup is disabled. PostHog still receives the network request needed to accept each event.

PostHog stores this analytics data in the United States. You can turn sharing off at any time in Profile → Settings and help. This stops new analytics events. It does not delete events already sent. Contact Orkun for a request to remove past analytics data. You can use the game with sharing off.

Read PostHog’s privacy policy.

Services that receive information

Service providers receive information needed to operate hosting, sign-in, purchases, ads, and notifications. Apple handles App Store purchases, Sign in with Apple, Game Center, and push notifications. Google handles Google sign-in and ads. RevenueCat checks and restores Premium access using a private customer ID.

These providers may process information in countries other than your own, under their service terms and privacy rules. Read Apple's privacy policy, Google's privacy policy, and RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Information may also be disclosed when needed to meet a legal duty or protect the service and its users.

Storage and deletion

Account, profile, and game information is kept while your account is in use. To delete your account, open Profile → Manage linked accounts → Delete account and confirm. The service removes your profile, linked identities, device access, stored avatar, and associated account records. Active games end as part of deletion.

Deleting your Matchrove account does not delete records held separately by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat. Those providers apply their own retention rules. Contact Orkun for requests about support emails or other information outside your app account.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile, choose whether to link a sign-in account, control notification and tracking permissions, change available ad privacy choices, and delete your account.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to or limit its use. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Email Orkun to make a request. Identity verification may be needed to protect your account.

Children and changes to this policy

A parent or guardian can contact Orkun if a child has provided personal information and they need help with its removal.

This policy will change if Matchrove's data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest update.
